What records can a co-parenting app export?

The Haevn team5 minute readLast verified:

Several co-parenting apps let you take a copy of your shared record out of the app. OurFamilyWizard offers unlimited PDF records. TalkingParents charges extra for printed records. Haevn lets either parent export every message and logged expense as one document with a verification code. For AppClose and 2Houses, an export format is not stated in the sources we checked.

    What is a co-parenting record?

A co-parenting record is the history you build up in an app: messages between parents, calendar entries, shared expenses and, in some apps, handover notes. An export is a copy of that history that you can save, print or share outside the app. It gives you one clear account instead of screenshots from three different places.

Messages that cannot be changed are the base of a useful record. Haevn, OurFamilyWizard, TalkingParents and AppClose all keep messages that cannot be edited or deleted after sending, according to their own materials. For 2Houses, this is not stated.

What does each app let you export?

Checked 18 October 2026. Not stated means we could not find it in the provider's materials.

How does Haevn's verified export work?

Either parent can export the complete record, every message and every logged expense, as a single document. Every export carries a verification code. Anyone you give the document to can check at app.haevn.uk/verify that it has not been altered, without the check showing any of the record's content.

Alongside the record, Haevn keeps a shared calendar for two homes, a custody handover log and shared expenses with any split. One subscription covers both parents: £6.99 a month or £69.99 a year.

What should a record include, and what should it leave out?

Keep it about the children. The useful entries are the practical ones:

    • handover times and who did the pick-up
    • school, health appointments and clubs
    • costs you have both agreed
    • holiday dates and changes to the usual pattern

Write facts, not opinions about the other parent. Short, neutral messages make a record easier to read later. Haevn's tone check looks at the wording of a message before it is sent. For more on this, read how to keep a record of communication with your ex.

If you are still working out the pattern of nights, the free custody time calculator and co-parenting schedule planner help you see it before it goes into a shared calendar.

Who might ask to see a record?

A mediator or solicitor may ask what has already been agreed. This page does not cover how any record is treated in legal proceedings. Ask your solicitor or mediator what they need, and in what format, before you export anything.

Before you export: a short checklist

    • Agree with the other parent which app you will both use. A shared message record only works when both parents are on the same app.
    • Export before you cancel. In Haevn, you can export all messages and logged expenses as one document with a verification code before you cancel.
    • Keep the export somewhere private, especially if a device is shared.
    • Share only what has been asked for.
