Five roles, by design
Owner, Admin, Member, Child, Carer.
Each role has a sensible default permission set. Tune per-person.
Per-feature permissions
Grant access to The Plan but not The Pot. Or vice versa.
Granular toggles per feature, per person.
Relationship mapping
Who is whose parent, partner, or carer.
Drives the right defaults across calendar, lists, and budget.
Audit log
See who did what across the household.
Append-only log of additions, edits, and deletions, scoped to your role.
Honest note. Carer Mode for an adult who lacks mental capacity requires a documented lawful basis under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Haevn provides the technical mechanism. Lawful authority sits with you and, where relevant, your solicitor.
Who it's for
Multi-generational households, families with carers, separated parents granting limited access to the other household, and anyone giving a babysitter or trusted adult scoped access to the calendar and lists.
How it fits with the rest of Haevn
The Circle is built to work with the rest of the household. The natural pairings:
Common questions
How does Carer Mode work?
Carer Mode grants a chosen person scoped access to specific features and specific data, with the scope set by you, revocable at any time, and every action captured in the audit log. Carers see the shared calendar, lists, meal plans, pets, family memories and safety details, and nothing else.
Can I give a babysitter access for one weekend?
Yes. Add them as a Carer with time-bounded access. Permissions auto-revoke when the period ends.
What can a Child role see?
By default, their own calendar, the lists they have been added to, and household chat. Children do not see budgets, contractor details, or warranties unless you choose to grant access.
How do I revoke access?
Open the member's profile in The Circle and remove or downgrade their role. Access ends immediately.
Is the audit log visible to all members?
Owners and Admins see the full audit log. Members see actions on items they can already see. Children and Carers do not see the log.
What about the Mental Capacity Act for elderly relatives?
If you are managing affairs for an adult who lacks mental capacity, you need a documented lawful basis (typically a Lasting Power of Attorney). Haevn does not grant that authority. We provide the tools that, with the right authority, help you carry it out.
