How we assess privacy at Haevn
Summary of our Data Protection Impact Assessment. Version 1, approved 16 October 2026. Next review April 2027.
Haevn holds things that matter to families: children's days, health details, where people are, and private messages. Before any feature that touches these goes live, we assess the risks to the people involved and decide how to reduce them. This page summarises that assessment.
What we looked at
The whole Haevn app. We paid closer attention to five areas: children, location, health and care, co-parenting, and AI.
What we found, and what we do about it
- their day
- their chores
- family chat
- check-ins
Where your data lives
Your family's data is stored in London, and all AI processing happens in the EU. Some trusted providers handle payments, email, error reports and network security, and a few of them are outside the UK. Where they are, legal safeguards are in place.
What happens next
We review this assessment every six months, and before any new feature that affects children, carers, health, location or chat goes live. Our current plans:
- a privacy notice written for children, with a version for each age group
- a simple way to raise a data protection complaint
- giving children more control over their own location sharing
